Olivia Barrientos photos:
my edits:
A lot of things are the same with these photos, I wanted to keep the edit simple because they are simple photos. I increased the contrast and lowered the brightness, i also applied a screen layer.
For the last two pictures i applied a warming filter for the candle and a cooling filter for the last photo. I also used the burn tool to darken some areas and vignette both of the last two. I liked Olivia's photos because the motorcycle is cool, the candle makes a cool reflection on the wood table and the last photo has really sick lights. I thing the change in contrast made the motorcycle cooler. the edit i put on the candle made the composition better and brought out the wood grain. for the last photo i think the cooling filter gave it more of the vibe it needed making it more eerie and enhancing the composition.

email artist statement
My name is Weslee Rogman and I am a life enthusiast.
My biggest passions in my life mostly consist of different art forms. I find
the most fulfillment in making music, creating paintings, and photography. When
I take my photos I try to capture moments in my life through my imagination
making my photography style unique. I picked up photography about a year ago
and I have learned and grown immensely in my life and in my photography. My
goals are to continue to progress at the rate I have and to be able to capture
exactly what’s going through my head in everyday life. If I do so I think I can
achieve my ultimate goal and that’s to get payed to illustrate my life. I
picked up photography because I’ve always been naturally artistic and it’s an
excellent and efficient way to capture the life that I live. I think my best
image is the last one in my portfolio. I had the idea with these moving lasers
I had and I decided to take a long exposure shot of the lasers on my friends
face and shirt. It’s the best one because it turned out exactly how I pictured
in my head without any edits.
